This recipe for a breakfast bowl is an excellent and nutrient -rich breakfast. Ingredients for the spelled breakfast bowl:

  • 250 g of vegetable yogurt (e.g. soy, almond or coconut yogurt)
  • 100 g mixed berries (e.g. blueberries, raspberries, strawberries)
  • 2 tablespoons of chopped nuts (e.g. almonds, walnuts, hazelnuts)
  • 1 tablespoon of flax seeds or chia seeds
  • 1/2 TL cinnamon (according to taste)

Preparation of cooked, micro-fermented spelled:

  1. Soak the spelled in water for at least 8 hours. This later shortens the cooking time.
  2. After soaking, rinse the spelled under running water and put it in a saucepan and pour in fresh water. As soon as the water boils, reduce the heat and simmer the spelled over low heat for about 30-40 minutes until it is soft but still firm. Stir occasionally and pour in some water if necessary. With a pressure cooker, about 15 minutes of cooking time.
  3. Drain the spelled in a sieve and drain.
  4. Put the spelled in a bowl or micro fermentation glass and add the micro fermentation accelerator. Complete and stir with lukewarm water until the accelerator has mixed well. Cover or seal and have at least 8 hours of micro fermentation.
  5. Then drain excess water.

Preparation breakfast bowl:

  1. Pour the cooked spelled into a bowl. Put the herbal yogurt over the spelled.
  2. Add the mixed berries to the yogurt. You can use fresh or frozen berries, depending on the season and availability.
  3. Sprinkle the chopped nuts and flax seeds or chia seeds over the berries. These ensure a crisp texture and additional nutrients.

Serve the spelled breakfastbowl immediately and enjoy. It is a nutritious and filling start to the day.
